Anna Christin Mallon

General Manager

Anna has been directing and coordinating the operations of the SAE Institute Singapore as General Manager since February 2007. Anna’s responsibilities include finance management, human resource development, marketing, promotions, program coordination and implementation as well as overseeing student affairs. Anna is also engaged by the SAE International to oversee all campuses in South East Asia to ensure that the brand’s highest standards are met.

Her previous creative roles include being an independent filmmaker, with the goal of merging commercial film and television production with art. Anna began her film career as an actress and television host in Europe. Fluent in five languages, she set up and led the Film department for SAE Institute Brussels, Belgium, and managed CitrusTV, her own production company specialising in multi-lingual travel shows and infotainment.

One of Anna’s strengths lies in post-production and compositing, having worked on various international productions in countries such as Spain, Belgium, Germany, France and Singapore. She now mainly fulfils the role of Director or Producer for various projects.

Anna has a Diploma in Digital Film Production and a Diploma in Media Arts (Video Art); including a First Class Honours Degree in Media Art (Video). She has been working with SAE Institute International since 2000.


C. Girishanker

Mr. Girishanker’s (Giri for short) interest in music and his expertise in recording, mixing, mastering and re-mixing have led to his involvement in many different local band productions through his audio production studio.

His expertise include Acoustics, Digital Audio Theory, Advance Recording and Mixing Techniques and Mastering as well as operating on flagship recording consoles, including the SSL AWS 900. In addition, he works on various legal cases as Audio Forensics Expert.

With the school since 1997, Giri started his career as an Audio Engineering student. Upon the completion of his Diploma, he joined the staff as a supervisor, completing his Honours in Recording Arts. He began lecturing in Audio in 2000, becoming Assistant Manager of the institute in 2007.


Hardie J. Tucker

Head of Degree Coordination - all pathways

A native of Australia, Hardie began his career in Sydney where he worked as drummer/ percussionist and producer with the Okapi Guitar Band, performing with African stars Mahotella Queens, Bhundu Boys and Abdul TJ.

Hardie has extensive experience in South East Asia, having worked as a studio engineer in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian artistes SM Salim and XPDC and producer M. Nasir and in Singapore as a writer for television productions and as a magazine journalist.

With SAE Institute Singapore since 1997, Hardie teaches both audio and multimedia Diplomas and the SAE/Middlesex Degree programs. His areas of research include styles of contemporary African music, story design for MMORPGs and online instructional design.

Hardie studied Arts at Sydney University, majoring in education and philosophy. He received his audio engineering Diploma from Sydney SAE and also holds a Masters WBL in Online Instructional Design from Middlesex University.


Loup Brenta

Head of Digital Film & Animation Dept

Loup has been passionate about music and cinema since he was young. Under the influence of his parents who worked in the cinema industry as set designers, Loup began his film career by working as a special effects assistant in Brussels.

After high school, Loup travelled around Asia (India, China and Southeast Asia) with his microphone and digital recorder. He gave his travel recordings to a music producer friend who spurred him to experiment with audio-visual techniques. He then went on to VJ for a few years in Belgium.

Upon completing his Bachelors in Performing Arts, Media and Communication Techniques at Institute of Media Arts in Belgium, Loup continued to pursue his dream by working as a special effects supervisor and 2D/3D animation designer.

In 2002, Loup joined at SAE Institute Brussels as a freelance Digital Film and Animation Lecturer. Before relocating to Singapore in 2007, Loup worked for RTL, one of the most established TV channel in northern Europe, as a motion graphic designer.


Gibson Tang

The new Head of the SAE Institute Singapore’s Games Programming Department, an avid gamer who always keeps up-to-date with the latest trends in gaming industry, Gibson has more than 4 years of experience in game and web development.

After spending 7 years in the Republic of Singapore Navy as a senior technical specialist, Gibson left the radar electronics industry to pursue a career in IT before joining SAE Institute Singapore as a lecturer.

During the 3 years working as an application and game developer, Gibson played a part in the production of many mobile games including: Behind The Lines, Patriots 1776, Train Empire, Elven Legends, Deep Quest, etc.

Gibson is passionate about sharing his knowledge of game development with his students as he finds great satisfaction in teaching. He hopes to nurture competitive game developers that can contribute to Singapore’s up-and-coming gaming industry.

Christelle

Head of Audio Dept

Originally from Switzerland and speaking 4 languages fluently, Christelle has been working as an audio engineer since she got to Singapore. She focused her work in composing songs for kids shows on Kids Central, sound designing for online games, radio and television commercials, and especially for the theatre industry. Sometimes she also exercised her acting talents on stage with local artists, backstage with voice talents and live on radio 91.3FM.

Through her experience in the various fields as an audio engineer, her passion lies with several theatrical production houses like Fly Entertainment, Action Theatre and Wild Rice Productions, but she got her creative breakthrough with locally acclaimed stage director Loretta Chen.

Christelle graduated from the Singapore Institute in 2006 with a 1st Class Bachelor of Arts (honours) in Recording Arts and completed her Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers from the University of Cambridge International Examination in 2008.
